Corrdesa LLC seeks an Engineer II in Tyrone, GA.
Job Duties: Draw upon theoretical and applied knowledge of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to develop new methods of computational corrosion analysis and perform corrosion simulations to determine the best material choice decisions for implementing corrosion-resistant designs and predicting current density, electrolyte thickness distributions and corrosion rates on complex geometries with multiple coatings. Utilize knowledge of CFD to design and optimize systems that incorporate, flow (single and multiple phases), heat transfer and chemical reactions in steady and transient environments (using morphing, overset, sliding meshes and multiple reference frames). Includes using CFD software on High Performance Computing (HPC) in Linux to develop multi-physics model formulation and solution. Develop JAVA macros in CCM+ to exploit Design Manager, enabling more effective exploration of design space and identification of optimum design solutions. Implement surrogate modeling approach to enable faster time to optimum solution. Lead the build, operation and growth of Corrdesa HPC resources, leveraging state-of the art operating systems and hardware. Minimum Requirements: Ph.D. in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Physics or a related field. Must have experience, education or training with Star-CCM+, High Performance and Scalable Computing, Computational Modeling, Multiphase Flow, and Transport Phenomena methods of solution involving turbulence, diffusion, and convection. Occasional travel required (approx. 4x per year).
